Hi when i was 16 i brought a sunburst ibanez acoustic..i was having lesson at fret music in Southampton UK and remember falling in love with this model...just simple acoustic shape sunburst and was brought new 1982-3..it wasn't super expensive,but i remember it was more then i would normally pay, so maybe mid range now?? ive checked the forum maybe it was a AM-50 any pics of them??

AM-50s were semi-acoustic, electric guitars. Sorta like a smaller version of an ES335.
Your best chance of finding what model it was would be to search the acoustic catalogs from that period. But I'd try looking at them all, from '81 thru '84, just to be sure.

Click on Katalog Archiv > Ibanez Gitarren. The 1981 Acoustic catalog is on page 8. There's a 1984-85 catalog on page 7. But no acoustics for either '81 or '82.

wowee thks for that!! I remember having the guitar at a certain job..But i forgot i did a yts course for 6 months from school so i was 17-18ish when i brought it..
so im guessing its 83-84 model.I'm 99% sure looking at the catalog it was a vintage sunburst model..theres a few models,im trying to remember (getting old) the shape of the pick guard..
anyhow i'm in the ballpark..are the vintage models expensive these days?
i remember selling mine,my mum walked in my room and stood on it and scratched the top i was gutteddddd lol

hi more i look the more i think it either a v300bs or v310tv..someone reviewd the v300bs and said their model was an 1980,and its also in the 85 catalog..so chances are it was in the 83 catalog to..
