I bought this great acoustic in a pawn shop in 1986 for $60.00, and the sound just gets better and better. It is a dark tobacco sunburst with opal shell or mother of pearl inlay along the bindings. It is in great condition, and I play it daily. It's my main acoustic that I use in the folk group that I play in. I'm just curious as to the age and value. The Serial # is 83061540H. Any help? Great forum! Thanks, Jim

Caddyjim:

If it says V310TV on the label and given the serial number, I'd say it was an '83. Here's a portion of the '83 Acoustic catalog that shows the V310TV. Look familiar?

Value? I'd say, in very good to excellent condition with a hardshell case, is around $300.00.

Welcome Caddyjim,

Didn't we meet on Thanksgiving in the shopping centre, when you accompanied 3 lovely lady singers?
In that case, I was the guy who took a peep at the label to date it.
Glad you found us on the web.

Well, as a matter of fact, I had an old Japanese classical guitar with me, because the kid of one of the shop owners, who stood there with pea soup and warm wine had bought a new guitar, which had a very strange S curve in the neck, and he would bring it again on that particular Sunday.
He forgot his and when I got there my D string was broken. Those bloody Augustine's. Always the same problem. I'm happy it was my last set.
