Hi:

These pictures where sent to me by Colin (from the UK). He needs info on it. Liike what model?

Front Head
Neck

All he knows is that it is supposed to be 2-3 years old. The serial number is: 99011003. Would that make it a 1999? I have the '98 and '00 Acoustic catalogs, but nothing like this is shown. Could it be an AW500 with custom ordered inlay work?

THanks for any info.

I don't know the model number but if it is Korean made, it is possible that it was manufactured from the Cort factory? If it is from the Cort factory, Cort makes a very similar model to the above called the Earth 1200, with solid spruce top, rosewood sides and back. This is the top of the line of the Earth series of guitars. This Ibanez looks very similar in design to the Cort except that the vine design is different (but similar vine on entire fingerboard). The Cort has inlays on the body edges (like an old D-41) which the Ibanez does not have. The tuners are similar as well as the headstock veneer. Is this a variation from the Cort model or is the Cort a variation of the Ibanez model? I bought my Cort about 2-3 years ago when they were first launched. I remembered seeing the entire range at a guitar store and impressed by the prices.

When I saw the picture, it struck me as very similar to the Cort and I'll try to post a pic for comparison purposes later on. Hope this helps.

Sorry for the delay. Tried taking the pics today and hope it helps. I checked the serial number and it is 99050946 which seems to have a similar format to your Ibanez. I also checked and confirmed that I bought mine in 1999 and paid around USD350 without case. I thought it was a good deal considering that it had a solid top.
