I acquired an Artwood 12 string. Its in great shape, fun to play and sounds nice and bright. It was made in Japan. Serial number is 83050037D, so I assume it was made in '83.

That's all I know about it. I have scanned the web for information, but can not find an AW15 12 string anywhere.

Can anyone tell me any more about this guitar?

I've looked everywhere I can think of and can't find a reference to the AW15 12 string. I have an '88 catalog page that shows an AW18 12 string and have foundnd refs to the AW25 ans AW35, but that's it.

Let's hope somebody else here has something more to add

Does someone have an '83 catalog?

It is definately an AW15. The serial number definately begins with 83. It is definately a 12 string.
