I picked one of these up at Guitar Center a few weeks ago. Gorgeous looks, lovely action, nice sound. I cannot seem to find any reference to it at all on the web or at the Ibanez site. Lots of AEG-10 models out there though. And no, it's not the AEG-20 classical type.
This is the same AEG body size and neck as the AEG10 (same case fits both). It has a flamed top finished in "Vintage Violin", looks like mahogany sides, all gold finished tuners, nice Fishman electronics, with a built in tuner that actually works well, and both XLR & 1/4" output jacks. I love the guitar, I'd just like to know more about them. Serial number indicates it was made in Indonesia in December of 2004. Guitar Center doesn't know much about the stuff they sell...they haven't a clue about this model. Anyone?

Bought one my self 8/11. Love at first sight too. Can't find any references in US, but end up in German, Czhek, French etc type places that DO carry it (Eu329 to Eu369... so we did kinda got a deal). Do have a couple of problems, low action makes 4th string hit the frets, plus the pickup is messed up, hear 5th&6th ok, 1st&2nd somehow, 3rd&4th string not being amplified - called them and will have it replace for SAME type though they offered and equivalent.. again, love at first sight. Regarding more info, I also see that is also advertised as AEL20 so might want to try that search, please do let me(us) know what you find and if any problems... Question-Do you use a strap? that's the one thing not very user friendly isn't? [Frijolero]

GC offers certain models that do not appear in the Ibanez catalogues. These models are apparently exclusive to GC. A few more examples that I've seen at are:

Exotic wood EW20 in figured Mahogany (the catalogue only shows Figured ash, quilted maple and zebra).

SA220EX offered a few years back, this is similar to a typical SA220 model but with added abalone purfling.

It sounds like the AEG20 may be another example.
