Tone cap upgrade

History repeats itself. 2 Humbuckers are 2 humbuckers, 4 pots of 500KOhm are 4 pots of 500KOhm. What I learned in the mean time, is that the original pots in Ibanez guitars were made by NOBLE. The CTS I suggested then have non-metric shafts and could turn out to be too wide! So, whatever you buy, measure the shaft diameter with a CALIPER. The best thing to do, IF you replace a pot is to buy MADE IN JAPAN, so that you don't have to file the wood. You don't want that. It's more the capacitors on the pots that I am concerned with. They lose effectiveness over 30+ years. Just looking for some good suggestions. I'm leaving the pots. Thanks -Jeff-
