I think I have a 2382, not too sure, I checked the WHOLE internet and came up with nothing, one photo and it still wasn't exact, came close, it's a 2654. I worked out that it's a pre lawsuit model maybe around '72 no serial number, just made in japan stamped on the back no part number. I know it's a SG, it's a dark mahogany and really heavy.

If it is a 2382 what's the estimated value, it has a few dings, nothing major...

i'll try get some photos up asap

Hi Butlerboy

There is a big difference between the model you think you have (2382, with a tremolo unit, "floating" pickguard, separate control plate, bolt on neck....) and the model you say comes close, the 2654 (no tremolo, set neck, small scratchplate..)
I think you didnīt mean the model 2654 thatīs close, but the 2354, which has a tremolo, bolt on neck and (here comes the most important part) can have two different styles of scratchplate. Before 1976 it had the big scratchplate and from 1976 on it had a small one, only on the treble side. But then again: you say your guitar has no serial number and thatīs wondering me. If my thinking is right and you have a 2354 with a small scratchplate, open book headstock and no serial number I will have to adjust the date that production started for this variety in my archives.
Iīll be happy to help you out so please put on some pictures to get the mystery solved. Iīm curious what you have.
Make sure you put on clear pictures of the front, the headstock and the backplate (neck/body joint).

Kind greetz,
Harry

Definitely a 2382. This is the picture from the 1974 catalog. Don't worry about the lack of a logo from the catalog picture, as that's the way they did the catalog.

Butlerboy

The guitar is in original shape and it looks to be in good condition.
The model 2382 is not very common; we mostly see the 2354īs.
Iīd say that a realistic value of your SG will be around 400 to 500 US dollars.

Butlerboy, I would say that, usually their value is as Harry says, 400-500. Recently Ibanez "lawsuit" models have been trending north of $500 (for nice ones, and yours is nice).
