2387 V question

I think it's an awesome guitar and was just wondering if all of them have thin necks or if they vary from guitar to guitar? I dig it, because it has a tone that is very comparable to a Gibson, but the neck is much thinner than a Gibson. Just wondering if they're all that way. It's definitely a cool guitar that sounds great. You're 2387CT is in mint condition and I'm sure it's going to rock. I got mine last Wednesday, but haven't had access to a fast internet connection so I haven't had a chance to give my review on it. The guitar is in great condition and the frets have zero fretwear. The gold has the usual tarnishing that comes with a 30 year old guitar, but I dig that vintage vibe. It will be one that I will play regularly. Mainly just in thousanths but I think shape has a lot to do with it also. I noticed the same thing so one time I took measerments of all mine with a digital caliper. I'll look for the results and post them later if interested but from what I remember my Gibson V's('78 & '83)were 1.9 something wide x .8 something deep. My standard 2387's were all 1.8 something wide x .9 something deep. My 2387CT being even a little bit thinner in width but same in depth.   Chucke99 Username: Chucke99 Registered: 2-2007 Posted on Saturday, October 20, 2007 - 5:33 pm:    I just did a feel test on my 2387CT and my MC400, PF200 and AS103. They all are very close in thickness/width, at least to the touch. But all three of them seem to be ever so slightly thicker than the V. I really dig my V and those are some great pics that you posted Chuck in the other thread. Mine is not in that 'mint' of condition, but it is really nice. The gold has slight tarnishing, but that's expected for a 31 year old guitar. Patrick
