What am I missing?

Why haven't a ton of people jumped on this?

Non-original tuners, the obviously replaced bridge pup and a tri-sound switch stuck between the volume knobs. A nice guitar, but not $500 nice. (Not that I'm buying even if it was stock, but that's what I see.)

It's even worse: originally this was a 2-pickup model and the middle pickup was added later on (that is: a DiMarzio was put in the bridge position and the original bridge pickup was placed in the middle).
In this condition the collector's value of the guitar is close to zero, which means that it's only an object of interest as a player, for those guitarists who will like this guitar "as is" and who don't care about originality.

I saw a cherry finished one in a local used instrument store that had similar modifications, and it was fairly beat up. They wanted $700. I told the salesman that they'd never get that price for a butchered Ibanez, and what was the lowest he'd go? He said $650. I left.

Originality might not be my personal #1 requirement, but it helps, especially when demanding a premium price.

I saw this one when it first got listed....and I've been looking for one but decided against it for the reasons indicated above. May as well wait til a real one comes along.
