Hello Everyone,
Excellent site, btw. I have a 2370 (no serial number, made in Japan on plate) with the three position rotary 'varitone' switch and I need to find a wiring diagram. The varitone switch has no effect on the bridge pickup (and only really works when the varitone is on 3), and the bridge pickup sounds weak. I'm guessing the varitone switch is a filter and seems to behave this way on the bridge pup. I'd like to verify the wiring diagram to see if I've got a bad pot or the bridge pickup is bad. Any explaination of this switch would also be appreciated.
Thanks for all your help!
Mike

Hi everyone,
I went ahead and removed the pots, jack, switch and varitone through the bridge pickup cavity. I tested the bridge pickup its reading about 7.5 k so that's cool. The caps on the tone pots and varitone have been replaced with some new mylar caps. Isn't there supposed to be a choke on the varitone? (well, it isn't there!) there is a 104M and a 403M cap on the rotary. Does anyone know what values should be?
Thanks for your help,
m.
