Another dodgy Ebay listing(IMHO), I have a couple of SS strats both '77.
I have never seen a blue bodied one, or one anywhere near as late as '82.
Anybody care seen one that late?

Hi Scrooge

There is no sign of recognition that this truely is an Ibanez, let alone a Silver Series.
This guitar has a small headstock and as far as I know all Silvers had a big 70's head. Apart from that, I've never seen an Ibanez Silver Series strat with a hard tail.
And (correct me if I'm wrong): To my opinion there are no Ibanez Silver Series strats with a rosewood fretboard.

So maybe the seller is either ignorant and has a vivid fantasy or he's just a plain liar.

Kind greetz,
Harry

And of course: there are no blue Silver Series Strats either.......

Some of the Silver Series had small headstocks, skunk stripes, and were actually early L series blueprint copies. I have one I bought new in 1978 and it's a perfect L series strat copy in every respect, right down to the pickguard mounting holes. Small headstock, skunk stripe, white ash body (blonde) and rock maple neck. No fretboard of course, it's a one piece neck.

I'm considering selling it BTW, I'm the only one who ever owned it, I have to add that the original case is rather beat up, the guitar did professional service for about 10 years in a number of bands I was involved in back then. The guitar is not beat up at all, but has been completely rewired.

PS: that blue one doesn't, I agree, look like a Silver Series at all. Without the original neck, well ... that was one of the best parts of the whole guitar, at least mine is that way, beautiful neck and action, I mean superb.
