Hey there...

I was just browsing eBay for interesting stuff when I stumbled over this auction:

http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-1751-2978-71/1?AID=5463217&PID=1802666&mpre=ht tp%3A//cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll%3FViewItem%26item%3D260045023359

I recognized it as something looking very much like the first item here:

http://www.t3-kundenserver.de/htmlpages/redasys/_core/databases/t_meinl-uploads/ 1977_artist_custom_8-seiter.pdf

Well guys...what's the value of this pretty little thing? I won't bid for it anyway, since I'm a lefthanded person. Still I like the look of this little fellow.

Maybe someone is interested?

That's a Matsumoku - probably originally Aria branded. Giveaways? "Wavy Grover" copy tuners, toaster-type neck pup, and the guy quotes the "steel adjustable neck/random number/Made In Japan off the neckplate. Have a look in the Aria catalogues archive at www.matsumoku.org - there's a pic of that bass & its model number somewhere!

The Ibanez bass in your link has a couple of differences for the eagle-eyed: full width sparkly inlays, checked binding & chrome humbuckers, for a start - and they're a lot more rare!
