My 2355 was equipped with two pickups marked 24025 and nothing more.

Is this any of the Super 70's pickups, 80's pickups or have they dumped some crap on me?

Thank you, and happy new year.

Hi Nip

These pickups with just an inked 5-digit number are common on Ibanez guitars from around 1972 until 1974.
These pickups were used before the famous Super 70īs were introduced (and which had a "Super 70" inscription on the bottom plate).
So the pickups in your 2355 are the original ones.

Kind greetz,
Harry

Many thanks. Much obliged.

Then a pair of gibson 57 Classics might be an improvement after all.

From what I've heard, you may also want to consider Ibanez Super 58s, if you can find a pair.

Very creamy!
