Hello people!

I just discovered this board during research and I hope that you can provide me with a little bit of information about a guitar that I have just purchased.

The guitar in question is an Ibanez Telecaster copy (model no. 2352) made in Japan from 1971-73. The guitar is not in mint condition as it has some scratches, but is is still playable and fairly good looking. Pictures will be up as soon as possible.

What I would like to know is the value of this guitar. I only know the things about the guitar that I have found tonight by researching on the Internet, and it is very hard to find any information about this model.

Any other information will be appreciated as well.

Finally, I am Danish so my English might not be completely correct.

Hi Sauer

For your information: did you find our Vintage Ibanez Page? You'll find plenty of info there.

I did find that page, yes. That is how I found out what year the guitar was made.

However, the website does not contain any information as for how much money the guitar is worth.

Hello Sauer,

It's probably reasonable to generalise and say that these guitars are "worth" what somebody's willing to pay for them.

That might not seem too helpful, but what is good, from your point of view, is that people seem to be happy to pay a premium for an old guitar with an Ibanez logo, that they would not pay for the exact same instrument from the same factory, if it had a different name on the headstock.

Really, the only way to gauge value is to search Ebay for similar instruments and see what bidders are willing to pay.

Hi Sauer

Nice guitar and as far as I can see in original condition. Even the so often missing ashtray is still on.
I would say a reasonable value for thisguitar would be in the range of 350 to 400 US dollars, since this model is pretty common and therefor not extremely desirable for collectors.

Kind greetz,
Harry
