Hi all,

I hate people who brag unnesisarily, but I have read so many stories over the years of people picking up cheap old Ibanez's & I always seem to pay mid to top prices for mine.

4 weeks ago I picked up a bolt on LP gold top (immaculate cond) for $175 Australian, which with the current exchange rate is about $85 us.

Last week I walk into the pawn shop next door to where I do the banking & hanging on the wall are two Strats. One 75 model (white ex cond) & a no serial number (tobacco burst, played but a beautiful player). Both guitars for $250 aus!!!! & all original.

My wife is hoping that my luck has run out!!

As for the double necks I have a cherry coloured single & double & the single has uncovered (crap cond) & the double has both sets of p/ups covered. All seems original & that one cost me $700 aus.

Seems to be alot of Aussie collectors on all of the Vintage Ibanez sites. Maybe we should get one going too???

Well done with this site too.
Regards.

Peter, we would all be interested in finding more
Ibanez related sites.
I am aware of only 2 others besides this one.
Blue Horizon and The Vintage Ibanez site.

Perhaps you could direct us to other sites we may
not have found yet?
Thanks, Timo

Hey Timo,

I know of this site, JD's site & vintage Ibanez.com

Have never been to Blue horizon?? what is the address?

Have found another shop who get alot of vintage ibanez in called guitarcrazy.com.au they are based in Sydney but do tend to charge quite heavily.

Cheers.

Peter:

Here's the Blue Horizon URL:

http://bluehorizon.yeah.net

The URL for break-even Ibanez page doesn't work. I can get to the break-even site, but can't find anything about Vintage Ibanez.

Harry:

Thanks, that worked. I've been to this site before. It's got lots of great pictures of older replicas. And hard to find info (prices in 1976 German currency, anyone got a calculator?)

You've reminded me that I have to add it to my links page.

Hi John, Harry, Timo.

Thanks for your responses. FYI. I have found a Steve Lukeather model. I remember someone was desperately after one a little while ago. just can't remember which site it was on.

Anyway, if you know who at all I can put them in touch with the shop.

Check out my site if you're keen 'tis
http://go.to/centerpunch

Is kind of old now, but has some info on a band I play in. Actually has some shots of my cherryburst Les Paul in there too.

Cheers.

Pete.
