I am restoring a Korina V that was given to me years ago. Does anyone have good close-up pictures of front, back of body and headstock. I am trying to figure out correct tuners and bridge (they were changed). Also need to make new pickguard (phase switch was added and the plastic has also warped) and want to determine if pickguard is correct shape to use as pattern. Were the pick-ups always gold plated covers? Mine are exposed creme colored.

if you can give us the serial numbers, someone
may have a catalog or guitar of the same vintage,

The guitar does not have serial number on back of headstock. Old style Ibanez logo on front with black back. Thanks.

Jerry,

Some of the pickguards on these were slightly different near the bridge.I have seen them where the pickguard goes straight down on the right hand side of the bridge(at the high E string)and also where it goes around the bridge instead of straight down.
I have also seen some w/o a "widows peak" on the back of the headstock although mine had it.
To add to the confusion,I have seen them with different style Ibanez tuners as well.
Both of ours have the Flying Finger gold plated pickup covers.

I will contact a friend of mine to compare his to mine side by side and take pictures of it when I can get him over to the house again to jam and email them to you.

I can't promise how long that will be however...

Thanks Mike. Mine does have the widows peak on the back. Since it does not have a serial number dos that make it pre-76? As far as tuners, Are yours star tuners (gold plated) or the green perloid tuners (gibson-style)?

Hi Jerry,

Most likely a pre-76 guitar.

The tuners do have the Star on the back but they were replaced prior to me buying it.
(included with the guitar though)

These are great guitars !
