Hello all!
I added a wonderful guitar to my collection: an Ibanez Flying V ("korina") in superb and original condition. It has no serial number, so I guess this one is a '74 or '75. The headstock is black at both sides and the scratchplate (pickguard) goes around the bridge.
I'm a bit confused about those V's. I noticed in old catalogues (uncertain of what year) that Ibanez also seems to have made korina V's with the scratchplate going under the bridge, just like the original Gibsons had. When did Ibanez switch from the one to the other? And is it true that the headstock on some "korina" V's didn't have a black backside? And are these the older ones or can you find this feature on the later ones?
Thanks for helping me out....
Harry

Hi Harry,

How about posting an Url so we can take a look at your V?

Hi John!
Waarom kom je niet gezellig een keertje langs in Etten? Kan je de V en de rest van de collectie zelf bekijken! By the way: was jij me net voor met die Ibanez Howard Roberts?? Mail me maar ff voor een afspraak: harry.kruisselbrink@wanadoo.nl
Sorry, fellow Ibaneezers: this was just a short 1 to 1 conversation with a fellow dutchman.

Hi Harry,

I sent you an email a while ago replying to your message above. Did you ever get that?

Hi John!
Yes, I did. I have been very busy last week, but I'll send you a message back soon so we can make an appointment.
