Harry Username: Harry Registered: 3-2001 Posted on Monday, February 26, 2007 - 3:23 am:    Hi Kiwigat What you have is a model 2386 and (unless there is a serial number on the back of the headstock, but I guess there's not because otherwise you would have mentioned it) it was made before august 1975. What puzzles me are the 4 knobs; not sure if these are the original ones. If I'm not mistaken they should be the ones with the chrome tops. Could a former owner have removed these chrome caps? I see only one pickup and one Star-tuner.....you do have the others too, I hope? Once you have reassembled it you have a guitar that's worth around 500 dollar. But you never know with the prices: I once saw an Ibanez Black Eagle bass sell for over 2000 dollar and a couple of weeks later exactly the same model in equal shape and condition only brought the seller just over 400 dollars.... Seems to be typical for 2386........ The control cavity shape and the pickguard suggest it is an early one. Hard to be more specific in this condition. Do you have the truss rod cover?
