Ok Heres the scenario,

I bought an Ibanez LP 2651 Cherry wine finish about a year ago. with Seymour duncan Pickups and the star tuners as the only parts on it for $200 AUD in a cool yamaha case...

The finish on it was quite bad as well so I decided to strip it and refinish it...

I completetly stripped the guitar about 7 months ago but left the headstock intact so as not to damage the Decal...

One day I had it hanging up drying and it fell and chipped the original paint of the headstock of all places tried to sand the headstock to fix it but made it worse by taking part of the decal. off.. so I decided to forget about it cause I got so frustrated.. So in its case it went and into storage it went...

a few weeks ago I was cleaning out the storage and came across the guitar again and thought to myself.. mmmmm time to change my stage Les Paul to this one. Got some decals made up and decided to finish it off...

so you can see the photos below of it progress..

I also took a few shot of the construction of the top and the way the neck glues into the body....

enjoy
