Hello all!
I've found out about the carved Artwood Stratocasters (3 of them). JD has a scan on his page, but it's rather small and blurry. I asked him if he could send me a good scan, because I would love to put these models in my archive. But JD is rather busy at this moment with the Ibanez-book and has got no time to dig up the catalogue and to make a new scan. Is there anybody who has this catalogue (from 75, left on the picture is also a Custom Agent and on the right you find the Black Eagle bass) and if so, could you please send me a good scan of it?
Thanx,
Harry

Harry, I think the scans you have are the best that is available, this unit is a "rare bird" indeed, I only have a black and white scan of Carl Perkins playing this mother, let me know if you want it.

Hi Cameron!
I know the original catalogue page is in A4 format. The scan that's on JD's page is small and blurry. I asked JD for a new and better scan but he seems to be too busy to do that for me. That's why I was curious if somebody else has this catalogue page, a good scanner (or digital camera) to provide me with a good quality image.
By the way, everything okay brother?
Cheers,
Harry

Yeah Harry everythings fine, mum's home from hospital after 3 months, thanks for the kind thoughts, BTW would you like me to scan the black and white of Carl Perkins, it shows a far bit of detail on the body.

Cameron:

Glad to hear your mom's doing better.

I don't mean to crowded you, but I think you have some pix for me, too? I understand that life comes before guitars, so don't sweat it. Whenever you can get around to them.

Cameron!

Nice to hear everything is okay. And yes, for my archive it would be nice to get a scan from the Carl Perkins picture. Like John said: first things go first, don't get stressed and take it easy. I see them coming some time!
Cheers,
Harry

Thanks for the kind thoughts guy's, mum said to say hello to all and thank you all.

John, I have the pics of the "guitar in question" , however I'm still trying to get the dudes in Marketing to compress the files of the pics so I can send them to you, they turned out nicely, and once you have them this should be a "hotpit" of a thread on this axe. I will send the mini interview I did with the pics as well.

Harry, I will scan Carl Perkins this week as well as the old Ibanez promo posters I have, you'll love these for the website, until then,

Keep On Rockin'

Hi all!

During my "digging" through Ibanez' past in order to gather the proper information for my Ibanez Identification Guide I stumbled across new aspects about these artwood strats. They seem to excist in two different versions: the first one has only a carved headstock, combined with a "normal" finished body. The second version have not alone carved headstocks, but the bodies are carved too. So far this was already known to me. But: did these two versions have different model numbers too, or was it a kind of first badge and second badge of the same model? If there is anybody who can tell me more (all) about it: PLEASE !!!!!!!!
Greetz,
Harry
