What years did the actual lawsuit era encompass?
I was just browsing ebay and came across a guitar advertised as a lawsuit era, and the headstock said it was a 1990 built guitar. Was 1990 still considered lawsuit era?
Please pardon my ignorance, I've only just recently discovered these fantastic instruments.

Raceboy:

Check out this thread for a discussion of the "lawsuit" and which guitars should technically be grouped into that category.

Thanks!!! This is very interesting stuff. It also appears that there are either a lot of very misinformed people out there selling "lawsuit" guitars, or they're just downright dishonest.
Thanks for arming folks with facts so that they can keep from being ripped off.
