I´m wondering whether my 1977 Ibanez Silver Series Strat has still its original pickups. They have staggered pole pieces and are stamped "Excel" at bottom side. I could find out that there is a japanese company "Excel" selling steel guitars. I contacted them recently and got the information that they never equipped guitars from other companies with their pickups. Any idea about these "Excel" pickups?
