I just got an early 70's Ibanez EB-3 bass. Short scale. 1-large and 1-small P/U, 3 possition rotary switch. This thing is a BLAST to play, sounds good too! anyone have info on wiring or how rotary switch works? Doesn't seem like P/U selector.

I recently got an EB-3 also. I agree it's a great little bass -- even with the bolt on neck I prefer it to my 2 Gibson "originals". The rotary switch is a tone switch that works on both pickups. The 2 and 3 positions have capacitors that alter the guitar's tone. Very uncommon and a definite difference from the Gibsons, which have a rotary selector.

Thanks, Dave. I had a Gibson EB0 In the late '70s and you are right, the Ibanez does seen to play and sound better!
