Can anyone help with 5-way wireing on Blazer guitar. It is S/S/S, 1 tone, 1 Volume, 2 Micro switches.

I am trying to replace 5-way and can't get pup's to work right. ether all at one time or nothing and I am not sure what the micro switches are supposed to do to tone of guitar.

Any help would be appreciated

Arrggghhhh..... I was afraid of that. In addition to the standard 5-way switch, you've also got a phase switch on the middle pickup, and a coil tap switch. Luckily, my BL500 (above) never had any wiring issues.

Don't get me wrong, Blazers are fine guitars and the BL500/550 were the top of the line. They just have rather complex switching.

The original pickups are SuperTap6. They should have 3 leads. If not, the coil tap switch will be inoperative.

I'll have to dig around in my literature. I may or may not have anything useful for you.

I'm sorry!!
I got excited, I have been trying for weeks to find someone that could tell me something about this guitar. The pic is of the same guitar.
It was given to my son. It had been strung for a left hand player. We changed strings and set it up. It worked ok but the 5-way was bad and need to be replaced. I never could tell what the micro switches did. They did not appear to make any differance in the sound or tone??? I bought a fender 5-way switch and changed wires one at a time to be sure I put them where they came off and now I have new trouble???

If you can give me or point me to info on this guitar It would be a great help. I have ask many guitar stores in the atlanta area and can get no help from them and there is not much info on this guitar on the www at least that I can find.

Thanks in advance

Mr Roadstar

As far as I know It is all original, but may have had the 5-way replaced at some point (all wire tabs have solder on them). I think maybe thats why the switches did not seem to work. Any idea witch switch is for what function????? That info may help.

Any help is appreciated.

I will post pics as soon as I can

Thanks
