Hello all!

As promised: here is all the information you need to get a copy of the "Vintage Ibanez Identification Book" that is due to come out at the end of November/first half of December (the definitive release date is not clear at this moment). The book is written by my pal Hasy and I and discribes the electric Ibanez guitars and bassguitars from the sixties and the seventies. The book is gonna be around 250 pages, full colour, with many pictures of every model we know of (lots of high-grade pics of guitars and basses from our own collection too) and many detail pictures as well. With this book it will be possible to "identify" and date your old Ibanez axe.
I personally will collect your orders and pass them over to the publisher.
If you sign in before December the book will cost you US$ 63 / Can$ 78 /Aus$ 85 / UKpound 35. This price includes handling and shipping, so NO FURTHER EXTRA COSTS! After 1. December the book will cost US$ 72 / Can$ 89 / Aus.$ 95 / UKpound 40. These prices are also including shipping and handling.
Please send me an email with the title "Ibanez Book order" and of course be as complete as possible with the data: full name and adress and of please don't forget to mention the number of copies you'd like to order.
You will get more details about the way of payment together with receiving the book. Most probably the publisher will chose for "cash on delivery"
And -for handling reasons- don't use that particular order mail for all kind of questions. If you have questions please put them in another mail.
I'll put a picture of the cover under this message.
Kind greetings,
Harry

Hi all!
I have a request for all those board members who sent me a mail last year about this book and who wanted to have one. Please send me a mail again with the data asked in my first contribution above, so I can get a good overview of the incoming orders. So John, Cameron, Spiro, Harold and all the others who maybe already contacted me before: do send me again your full adress if you want to order a copy (or more?) of our upcoming book!
Kind greetz,
Harry

Hi all!

So far I'm a little disappointed about the number of orders I get in from all the Ibanez addicts on this board. I wonder what the reason is: maybe you prefer the upcoming "Ibanez-the untold story"-book and want to save your money for that?
Remember: the introduction price is only valid until 1. December. And maybe it could be of some influence to tell that our respected Ibanez specialist Jim Donahue himself has been so kind to write the foreword to our book, for which Hasy and I are very thankful! I mean: after all he IS the godfather of all Ibanez collectors.... we really feel honoured with that! And yes, we ASKED him to write the foreword, but if HE wouldn't take us and our work seriously he surely would have said "no", would'nt he?
Hope your orders will be coming soon (for instructions: see the first message above). To have this book on the book shelf is a must for all guitar freaks in general and all Ibanez-addicts in particular! Remember: it's the first book about only Ibanez! Should fit perfectly between all those books you already have in your "guitar archive" about G****n, F****r, Gr***ch, M***in, R*ck****ck*r and so on!
Kind greetings,
Harry

Harry, strange indeed. I would expect people here to jump on the book.

What's happening here, Ibanez collectors? I saw the testprints of this book at Harry's Ibanez exhibition here in The Netherlands and I can promise you the book is worth the money!

Speak up or order!

I would think the members of this site would buy the book because they might like to have a copy. Maybe there is not as much interest in the older Ibanez models. Maybe the book is a little pricey. I don't think exhortations and twisting arms is going to change anything.

I can only speak for myself, but my interest in Ibanez is primarily 1980 and later models. I can't justify the price for something I would probably seldom use.

@Tonedef: lol, armtwisting was not my intention here I can understand it perfectly if someone would not want it, was just trying to get some feedback for Harry.

@Steve: fair enough offcourse :-)

Hasy:

I went to the bookorder-engl.html page to order the book today and am confused.

By "PreName" do you mean Mr., Mrs., etc.?

You have a field for "Adresse/Street - No PO Box !" and then one for "your Mailadress". What's the difference between these two fields?

Also, under "Your Order" there is a drop down list containing 2 choices: "1 Exemplar" and "2 Exemplare". Choosing either one seems to make no difference. What is supposed to happen?

Thanks,
JohnS
