Cimar IS a B-brand of Ibanez/Hoshino. That is a FACT. You will find Cimar on the last pages of an old 80's Ibanez catalogue. So that part of the information is correct.
But the info they quote from the Wikipedia is NOT totally correct:

-------------------------------------------------

"Please read this info from Wikipedia Encyclopedia to see the history and story behind Cimar: >>>Cimar was a brand name used by the Hoshino Gakki company, which also sold guitars under the Ibanez, Mann and Antoria names. These guitars were made in Japan. The Cimar guitars may have been manufactured in the same manufacturing facilities as Ibanez (the Fujigen Gakki plant) but that is not proven. The Cimar-branded guitars had a different shaped headstock than the Ibanez-branded guitars and used the name "Cimar," or "Cimar by Ibanez," on the head. Like Ibanez at the time, the majority, if not all Cimar products, were copies of American guitars, primarily Gibson and Fender instruments. These Japanese guitars are sometimes all referred to as "lawsuit" guitars, but in reality, only Hoshino was sued, and only by Gibson, not Fender. Cimar, and also "Axestar" guitars, were a marketing device. They enabled retailers to buy "Ibanez" product without becoming full-fledged Ibanez dealers. They were sold through wholesalers with no franchise requirements. The factories that built Ibanez-branded guitars (as well as Cimar-branded), also built many other brands for many other Japanese guitar distributors. Westone, Roland synth guitars and the original Fender Japanese product all came from the same factory.<<< "

-------------------------------------------------

Because what I know for sure is that WESTONE is a 100% MATSUMOKU product and NOT Fuji-Gen.

What we see here is a Destroyer body with a Blazer or Roadstar neck.
It is a budget version (that's why it's called Cimar) with only one pickup.

I think you can compare it with the SB70.
It is a mix of two different styles, that fit functionally but not aesthetically, made of leftovers with as little electronics as possible.
