Hello,

I recently purchased an "82 AR305 on ebay, yes the burl top in the posting below, and the pickups are likely replacements (2-hole, not 3-hole) but i haven't pulled them yet.
The wiring has definitely been altered though. The pups are no longer wired into the two toggle switches.

I'd like to reinstall original spec pups (Super 58s?) and reattach the toggles. Does anyone have or know where I can find a wiring diagram for the AR300/AR305 with the two toggle configuration?

Thanks for any information you can provide!

—Steve

That's a '97 wiring diagram. The '82 pickup wires may have different colors??

That's good to know.

Also, I didn't think the new Super 58's had the 4 leads? Ibanez puts those in the current reissue AR300's don't they?

Steve, it may well be, that most (or at least some) newer Super58:s have only hot + shield, at least those I've seen.. Also what Michael said about wire colours can also be true, I did not check out the diagram's date.. Otherwise it is consistent with the normal tri-sound wiring in vintage AR's and the diagram was quite neat..

The diagram is very nicely done. Even if the lead colors differ, as Michael suggests is likely, it shouldn't be too difficult to determine the correct substitute.

Bonus Questions:

Does anyone have any idea how to actually purchase 3-hole Super 58's from ibanez? And do the currently available 3-hole Japanese 58's have the 4 conductor cables?
