PF400 Reissue??

The US run was basically the end of '77 and '78-although there have been a few early '79's also-and was limited to the PF100, PF200, PF230, PF300 & PF400. The European series and the variants (PF150, PF 350, etc) ran at least into the mid 80's. I remember selling a set neck PF with block markers-European model. You can usually tell the newer stuff by the PERFORMER on the tr cover, the early ones just had the model number. Those pics are from a Korean Reissue of the Performer (propably from 94). Made by Samick (the "S" in the serial number). The Sure Grips seem to be replacement parts. There are some obvious diferences between the late 70ies Performers and the reissue models. Original late 70ies: old serial code, two angle trussrod cover, 70ies / 80ies style tuners, no Treble/Bass Plate under the toggle switch, three angle Super 70 pickups, Gibraltar bridge, the pickguard screw is under the pickguard and not at the side. 90ies Reissue Performer: new S-serial code, three angle trussrod cover, Koeran style tuners, two angle pickups, normal Les Paul style bridge and tailpiece, the pickguard screw is at the side of the pickguard with this little holder (also Les Paul style). Here is a current ebay example for an original 70ies PF 400 where you can see the differences: 190173716474.
