RG 520 QS Question

Author Message   Brentm Username: Brentm Registered: 03-2005 Posted on Monday, May 16, 2005 - 9:09 pm:    Does anyone know if the RG 520 QS quilted sapele is real or an image? I've been so enamored by the RG series of guitars that I picked up an RG 520 QS, but I'm on the fence on if I should keep it. When I received it, it was poorly setup so I had my guitar tech set it up, but he thought the quilt top might be an image (printed picture). Anyone know if this is a veneer or an image? It needs to be a real sunny day to get it to show up on camera, but the top is a real pretty brown figured top. After that blue was removed, it looks close to my guitar's color. What did the guitar look like after the refin?
