I would like some opinions on this topic. I'm considering buying a S470, but I also like the JEM's. Are the Jem555's worth the money? And how do the S470's hold up? They are both pretty guitars, help me make up my mind!

hi,

like i've been telling everybody else, save a little harder, get the S540 instead.

the jem555 is a basswood bodied guitar, it would be tonally diff fr any S series. the former is also equipped with evolution dimarzios, so u can be quite content with the jem when u bring it home. it's quite 'unfair' to compare the jem with an S470, maybe the S2540 would offer a better 'challenge'.
