My first real guitar back in the early 80s was an Ice Blue bolt on neck Iceman II. I loved that guitar and regret selling it.

Fast forward 23 years and I made a trade (still in shipping) with a guy for a mint Iceman II flame maple top 59 burst dead stock and again...mint.

I traded him a Hamer Standard Custom which is a pretty spendy guitar thats worth $1300 or so used. Im wondering if it was a decent deal?

I believe the 81' Ibanez Iceman IC400CS II is the more valuable production year. Don't get me wrong I've been searching for either year for a long time. Here is why I believe this:

Good Luck with your new Iceman!

Got to love the Iceman! ;)

I've now got 2, a '78 IC200 and an '80 IC50 that's been refinished a couple of times. Great guitars, a cross between an SG and a Firebird in both sound and feel.

Hope your new IC400 is all you're hoping for!

Well...she finally showed. I should do some pics and post them.

God this thing brings back memories! It sounds great through my DSL 100 and my Budda. Big fat bottom and nice middy lead tones. Ive moved on from the skinny neck thing and my main is a R7 LP with a big bat neck. I do love having an Iceman though.

Well, Ive decided to sell my Iceman. Im wanting a Hamer USA Vector so I need the funds. Im selling the IC400CS II for $1200. The wood is pretty much mint and the hardware has a little tarnish. Fretboard looks un-played. I can supply pics if anyone is interested.
