Snakeskin finishes?

I know the neck is incorrect because the guitar had a 22 fret neck on it when I bought it, leaving an open space where frets 23 and 24 would cover. I sold it and bought the current neck on Ebay. Is it the right style neck or do I need something with the fancier inlays? The neck is labeled RG-550R, but is it the same as the 560?   Brentm Username: Brentm Registered: 03-2005 Posted on Saturday, July 09, 2005 - 4:44 pm:    I think the necks for the 550, 560, and 570 from that time period (with the heel plate), before they went to the AANJ. Looks like a perfect fit! Did it look like a factory finish when you had the neck off (was the pocket unfinished?).
