I'm seeing more roadstars on Ebay than Blazers. I'd like a Blazer, but what differences are there...esp. interested in the necks...my old blazer had an incredible maple neck on it.

That depends on which model Roadstar and Blazer you're comparing. Keep in mind there were roughly a dozen Blazer models and over 50 different Roadstar models. Blazers were produced from '80 to '82. Roadstar production ran from '83 - '88. That's model years not calendar year for the nit-picking reader.
