I just found this site today while searching for information on a Kapa Minstrell that I have(the blue Egg as I call it).

I haven't gotten through all the posts yet but I have not seen mention of an RS1000 model. I bought one new back in 82 or 83 and still have it. I've done searches on eBay but they never seem to be listed there either. Any thoughts as to the rarity of these guitars? Was it a stinker of a model that didn't do well? It was my first real guitar and I love it. It has an arched birds eye maple top with a cherry sunburst finish. I'm just curious why i don't see them around much. Did the Steve Lukather(sp?) model overshadow the regular RS1000?
