New to the forum. I have two Ibanez guitars, a AS200 which I brought new in 1984
Artist
And a Prestige Blazer I brought new in 1999. I'm not quite sure whatever happened to the Blazer range. I think this is a great guitar, play as good as any guitar I've ever played, and better than most. Humbuckers with coil tapping, beautiful neck, fantastic feel. I've never even seen anyone else play one or seen this model on e-bay.

Nice to have you join our little community. Sounds like u have 2 nice Ibanez. I have 2 AS200s. They are fantastic guitars. I've never seen a Blazer in person, but lots of fans of them haunt this forum.

Welcome to the forum. You've got a couple nice ones. From what I gather, the Blazer reissues, like yours, of the '90s never really caught on (most people would rather have a simple one-trick strat than a "jack of all trades" strat) . I don't know if you know the story on the neck: Ibanez had 3 custom guitar builders carve necks for the Blazer. They then picked the favorite one and had it digitized, so that it could be exactly recreated during automated production. Ibanez endorsor Larry Mitchell uses a few Blazer RIs. You can check his web site for more info. He has also posted here regarding his Blazers.
