hi all, im new to this site and hope i can get some info bout my git.

just some background before i jump in, i got a bit of an ibanez fetish, i got a '76 les paul copy, an ar300, sz320mh and my last purchase, a steve lukather sig series from '84.

i've been looking around the net and all that for info on the luke but i cant seem to find much. my luke has all original hardware, is in verrrrry good condition and from the serial number was made in december '84. does anybody know any more about lukather models? any idea how many lukes were made and is this guitar woth anything, i paid R800 for it in a pawn shop here in johannesburg south africa. that equates to about $120us. sounds like a bargain to me.

if anybody can help me id appreciate it.

keep well guys

Glad that you got the photo to upload. Your RS1010SL lookd great!

There has been several in-depth discussion about the Lukather models on the board. Try a keysearch for Lukather, or RS1010SL.

ok, got some more pic's. i see from previous discussions here quite some time back that there were only 1600 or so made? is that right? thats not an awful lot is it? i got very little roadstar knowledge so anyhelp would be appreciated. after a clean up and a setup i must say that this guitar has great tone. very clean. the sl special at the bridge likes to scream a bit though when the gain is on the high side.. any ideas why? the super 58 is solid.
the push pot tone and volume buttons are great for sound variations... im pleasantly surprised by the package, i must say... very nice guitar..
