Please elucidate, what do you mean by "rare"? This wasn't a special model or limited production. How did you arrive at this designation? Please show some facts & figures that support this claim. I find the word "rare" to be over used. It seems to be applied to any older guitar today. Rarity. Though, not super rare, it does take some effort to track down certain AMs. They were not very common in stores when they were produced – some of them may have been special orders. And they are rare as a style of guitar in general; there have been other small bodied semi-acoustics made by other manufacturers, but they are very few and far between... Most of the AM models can be found fairly readily if you are willing to do a little searching. A few of the more common examples, like AM50s can usually be found on eBay, with some regularity. AM205s an AM255s come up every month or so... My educated guess is that it wore off somehow; but I did want to be clear about it in my description. I don't know anything else about it. I have tried taking closer pictures of the end, but it comes out blurry (b/c it is too close), if you are interested in the guitar, I can post another picture.   Fingersmcoy Username: Fingersmcoy Registered: 10-2006 Posted on Monday, April 09, 2007 - 11:29 pm:    Just a helpful hint-If you going to sell guitars and stuff on line its very important to have a camera that can take close up shots.I have a Sony Cyber Shot DSC-P31 its kind of old now but it works great.It has a great feature- Auto ZOOM for those close up shots.This cam. holds about 120 pics.- plenty for me.You should be able to pick one up on e-bay cheap.Good luck, and say cut the cheese   Gemberbier Username: Gemberbier Registered: 5-2006 Posted on Tuesday, April 10, 2007 - 3:54 am:    And go for as much OPTICAL zoom as possible. It's more important than a high DIGITAL zoom rate. Because, if the lens sucks, there is no digital process that can restore your picture to a clear one. Ginger
