hello all. i have been looking all morning at the discussion boards here, and have to wonder. am i the only person who owns an AR250? there are virtually no discussions, comments, or info on these guitars. Is it the edsel of the ibanez line? makes me wonder if i need to relieve myself of this guitar. any info on this 250 will be appreciated.
thanks folks

Sorry you're not getting any response. Can you give me the serial number so I know exactly what model you have?

Thanks

Silverring:

Your AR250 was made in 2001.

The AR250VB was introduced in the 1999 catalog. It stuck around until 2001. In Ibanezland, that would be a pretty long run for an edsel. It went thru a color change in 2002; from Vintage Burst to Honey Burst.

The reason that these newer AR reissues don't get much talk time around here is that there are so many ARs from the mid-70s thru early-90s available. These are generally considered to be higher quality because they were made in Japan.

However, you should judge your AR250 on it's own merits. If you like the sound and the way it plays, then play it! If you get a chance to play an early AR you may change your mind...or not! Keep your mind and ears open.
