i bought it in 1989, in Naples, Italy. It's black, left handed, has Ibanez on the headstock, but no model number or anything.

it has a floyd rose, locking nut, it has 3 pickups.

here's the serial number. F724971.

I'll upload a picture when i can.

Can you pick it out of a line up?

You could also check the catalogs. It looks like it was made in '87. You can check the '87 and '88 catalogs here:

If it's a lefty, it should be fairly easy to determine what model it is, as not many models were available lefthanded. I'm guessing you probably have an RG550 or 560. Could you tell me some more about the looks?

Does it have a very angular body with pointy horns?
Does it have a pickguard?
Does it have two humbuckers and a singlecoil or two singlecoils and a humbucker?
Does it have a maple fingerboard or a rosewood fingerboard?

These questions will probably be enough to solve the problem

more info, but no photos yet.

it has 2 single coiles, 1 humbucker, 1 volume, 1 tone, 1 5 way selecter switch and on the top center of the guitar, it's kinda grooved where if you were a girl, you're boob would rest on the guitar. there is no pick guard.

I'm still trying to get a camera.

thanx, for helping me solve this riddle. the body looks "strat-ish" but doesn't have the pointy horns.

Not even a cell phone camera picture?

So the boob rest grooves are throwing me off.

Still, not really enough detail to figure out what guitar you have. Sounds like a Roadstar or something???
