I'm thinkin of an early birthday present for myself and the JTK2 with mahogany body looks really cool. It was styled after some of the 60s guitars you might find in a pawn shop. I haven't seen very much buzz about them, but the fact remains that they are well made, solid players with good pickups (Korean made version of the Super 58 I believe). If you like the looks, I don't think you can go wrong at the price. I was using a JTK1 MLB limited colour model whilst doing the Weekend Warriors gigs a few years back, the coil taps are cool. So many cool retro sounds The neck on these guitars has a great feel to it as well. They are great neat little guitars if you ask me. Looked great, apart from the light coloured 3-a-side headstock. mine was like Cappy's but the run of the mill dark red. Sounded fine too, and very playable. For the price you cant go wrong. Dont all bid at once, but it is very rare, dont forget! The reason for its rarity seems to be because it hasnt been played much.... I love them. They're so inexpensive that I'm modifying one as an experiment (its in pieces now...). The other JTK2 is my main guitar in my indie band. why shouldn't indie guitars be well made, sound great, look great, and be inexpensive? Ibanez thought the same. The tone is sweet in them.
