Oh man. Is this totally ridiculous, or did I really do a marvellous find with mine a year ago? If I would get that kind of money for my 580B I would sell it in a split second.

My guitar doesn't look nearly as dark, do you guys think it's just the light conditions, or does the colour really vary that much?

This is one of those ridiculous Guitar Center auctions. It's been listed over and over again for quite a few months. It's not selling because it isn't worth what they keep asking.

I don't know anything about the color variations.
