What pickups do the IBZ Super 58s sound most like??

Hello?? Are they close to Gibson '57s ?? Alnico II or V ??

Close but a bit less bright than Gibson standard humbuckers. Similar impedence - typically wound slightly hotter (negligible difference). Alnico 3 magnets - slightly mellower with great clarity.

This description is concerning the classic Super58 ONLY. Some newer "58" models have ceramic magnets.

I consider the original Super 58s a great all-around pickup. Quite sweet-sounding.
