Ibanez JS-700 Information needed!

I've got a Like-New Ibanez Js-700 that I'm wanting to sell to finance another hobby, and am trying to find some historical information about the guitar, and get some input on what I could reasonably expect the yield to be at auction. So, my questions are: What were the production numbers? How many year(s) was the 700 produced? Why was it discontinued? Is the Japanese or Korean model preferred, and why? What is one worth in semi-stone-mint condition, w/ case? (Guitar is perfect, case has a minor boo-boo that I'm going to repair) Here is some info on my guitar that may aid: Mine was manufactured in Korea, serial # is C6073519. Color is the cherry stain, twin P90's, fixed bridge. Thanks in advance for any input! PS: This isn't a 'FS' ad. Merely looking for information so I don't get burned when I DO sell it! I saw one for sale in the UK, it was in the neighborhood of 650 GDP (British Pounds), which is about $1300 USD! That blew my mind, and that may only be in Europe. But due to the apparent dirth of these available in the US, I'm beginning to believe that this IS a rare guitar with low a production run. Most collectors prefer Japanese guitars, because Fuji Gen build the reputation of Ibanez as the Japanese top brand. The Fuji Gen made Prestige necks are the best Ibanez necks available. (That is the reason there have been UNITED models, combining cheaper Chinese bodies with a prestige neck). That doesn't mean that Cort doesn't build a good guitar. I have a semi-acoustic Artstar AS120 built in the same factory in 1997 and I love it. And several others in the hollow and semi-hollow body section feel the same about that model, which was in the same price range as your JS700. For these non-vintage guitars you can ask a percentage of 50-67% (1/2-2/3). The reason that models are discontinued may be: - that a model doesn't sell; - a production move to cheaper manufacturers (China); - if you leave only the production of some signature models in one factory, you won't get the same discount you got when you let them produce thousands of guitars; - the option of moving the production of the "Satriani" to China was risky for the reputation of the "Satriani". So you wait until they hem proven themselves, and the man himself has to agree of course. The more expensive JS1000 was discontinued after 1996. That could have been because of the price/quality ratio. (Is a 1000 twice as good?) $1300.- for this $900.- guitar is way over the top! If you get 2/3 that would be $595.- (THAT'S DOLLARS and in the USA) that wouldn't be unreasonable (again in the USA). In the Netherlands a few minty AS120 guitars went for about 600 euros second hand. So it should be possible to get the same price for the JS700 (because they had the same list price and are NOT vintage yet). If you would have the UK pricelist, that would be a better starting point. Do you still have your receipt or do you remember what it cost new in 1997 in the UK? Then take 1/2-2/3 of that, because the UK market is an expensive one. Even German dealers (such as Music Outlet from Cologne) are on eBay UK in order to make better (higher) prices. Actually, I live in the US, in Wva, but had seen a Js700 on a UK SITE I should have said. I've been trying to find some for sale to get an idea of what they're going for. I can't find my receipt, but it was in the neighborhood of $729 or therabout if I recall. Something like that. I'm watching one identical to mine on Ebay right now, except it has some problems, and mine is still perfect. Thanks very much for all the info.
