need opinions on these humbuckers- featured this year in selected SA series. i find that the humbucker per se are too harsh sounding, very sharp. however, in split mode, the stacked single coil fared better...

Haven't tried the new duobuckers, but I know Ibanez has used brighter humbuckers in the previous SA. If you don't like the sound, a pickup change could easily warm up this mahogany guitar. What kind of tones are you after?

i dislike the humbucker in its full mode, in the split setting, it simply sings.

however, i've decided to keep it as it performs better with my set-up at home as oppossed to the dealer's amp. it fulfills my black metal/ fusion stuff quite nicely
