I just won this RBM2 on eBay....It's and odd one as the neck is not rose wood...its maple with a rosewood fretboard. Could the neck be from an RBM 1? Here is the serial: RBM 10 C5052497
Is this guitar body and neck an original configuration? Thanks to any help provided. Here is a link to the auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7409064157&rd=1&sspagename=ST RK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1

The difference is RBM1 and 2 are made in Japan, RBM10 is made in Korea, basically they went cheap on parts compare to RBM1 or original Voyager. notice the Lo-trs trem and not the Lo-proEdge or Edge. There are natural fin RBM 2 I think and there's that Koa top one, very expensive these days.

I am hopefully optimistic that it will be a decent player guitar. What is the knock on the Lo-TRS trem? Can I change it out for a Lo-ProEdge without modification? This and the RG550 I recently purchased are the first guitars I have ever owned with tremolos. Thanks for the info!

It will play just fine, I have both RBM1s, Voyager and RBM10, all plays great but I like the Edge or lo-proedge better than the lo-trsIIs also the stock pick ups on RBM10 wasn't as good as RBM1, but I figured that's where they cut costs, trem and pick ups first,

I am sure I will be satisfied with it....and the pick ups will go....the trem will stay as long as it will stay in tune for the most part. I tell ya....this little mid-life gear crisis is kinda fun...now if I could just find a sweet deal on a JEM77PMC! Ok...maybe the crisis will end before I break the bank but I really like the JEM's....probably gonna break down and buy one sooner or later. Thanks for the info!

No prob, I know what you mean I've bought many guitars that I couldn't afford back in the day, Jems are great, don't we all want the swirls... too bad they are ridiculous amount these days....
Just becareful of the fake ones and don't go for those Jem555 or Jem Jrs.
