Hi all,
I bought an Artfield AFD45BG 4-5 years ago, but haven't had time to really play it, untill now. The body looks pale, and maybe dry, compared to pictures I've seen of other Artfields. Maybe a dumb question, but should I use some oil on this guitar ? If so, what kind of oil is recommended ?

Thanks for any help you can provide.
This is my first guitar wihout a solid finish,
so I could use some help.

Regards,
Morten,
Norway.

Morten, I used to own a Peavey Cirrus fretless with a natural Bubinga finish body and Pau Ferro fretboard. (Great sounding instrument!) It only needed a light sanding with '0000' grit sand paper if scratched. For final conditioning the wood however, I used lemon oil in small amounts. Made it look great...and smelled good too.

Hope this helps.

Tim

Thanks for the tip,
I'll give it a try.

Morten.
