Hi, new to the site, not new to Ibanez. Here's some pix of my '81 blazer. Greatest guitar I've ever owned (three fenders/two epi's/charvel) this thing plays amazingly sweet. I think it's a BL50, not sure. Ash body/dual hum style pups/gold hardware/hardtail all original electrics I think. What can you tell me?? Thanks, Kerry

Bonzai01:

Nice Blazer! I'm not usre of the model number though. The only description of a BL50 that I can find says it should be Mahogany. Your's is certainly Ash. I did find a reference to an '82 BL170 which is Ash with "Super 70s coverless". However, this is only listed as comint in TV finish. I've never seen your pickups in with the cowlings in gold.

Is it possible to see a closeup of the headstock and the bridge?

Maybe someone else will come up with more definitve info?

Are we sure the pickups are original? Note the extra holes in the pickguard...

Hi Johns, Jeff... Not sure if this is factory or not. I noticed in the single pup blazer thread it also has the three holes and black matte finish guard. I'am curious, but not enough to rip it apart LOL. All I know is that it's the sweetest guitar I've owned or played. SN# H801309 made in japan. I'll try and get those headstock and bridge pix for johns today too.. Thanks, Kerry
