PROLINE???!!!

Author Message   Justlikedreams Username: Justlikedreams Registered: 10-2006 Posted on Tuesday, October 10, 2006 - 4:53 pm:    hi everyone, new to the forum. just wondering if anyone knew where i could get replacment parts for a Proline PL2550 i've had my PL for about five years now and i love it... but i kinda want to get her back closer to her orginal self again.... i am looking to get a hold of : All the Orignal electronics possibly a pickgaurd case?? and then if anyone has one in nicer condition for sale let me know.... thanks, angelo   Johns Username: Johns Registered: 02-2001 Posted on Wednesday, October 11, 2006 - 11:23 am:    Angelo: The only catalog that I can find showing the ProLine 2550 model is from '86. You won't find any company selling replacement parts for these older Ibanezes, today. We all scavage eBay for parts. The Proline models didn't last long, so finding beat up Prolines to steal from will probably be time consuming. Are you sure you have a PL2550? According to the catalog, they didn't come with pickguards. The PL1770 came with a color matched guard. The PL2550 had neck-thru construction and had saw tooth inlays on the ebony fretboard. In that case, I would suggest leaving it stock and not adding anything. I feel these neck-thru and exotic wood Prolines will be part of the next generation of "collectible" Ibanez guitars. It might take a few more years for them to appreciate considerably.
