This might an easy one, but I tried searching the forum for the answer and found nothing.

I just got a PR1660 without any tools and the toplock kinda makes it hard to get to the truss rod adjustment screw, so I am wondering what dimension it is. I prefer not to have to remove the top lock to measure this.

So what dimension allen wrench do I need for this one?

Anyone happen to have a picture of the wrench supplied with these guitars... I assume the PR1660 share this wrench with a number of models from around 1985.

Thanks

Try a whole set. They cost $2.50 at the gas station.

Yeah I know... and I have the sets that you get with RG guitars, but they are too long to be used without removing the toplock - which is possible to do of course but I figured Ibanez had a better solution... like a shorter allen wrench. I was thinking about sawing one off... but still preferably without having to remove the toplock to measure.

These allen keys have a short end and a long end, so what's the problem? Is even the short end too long?
Please, show us some pictures of what you mean.

Yep, for those axes a wrench with an even shorter short end is required, I once needed one of those for my '85 XV500. It's a 5mm allen wrench but I don't remember where I got mine from. If you have to saw one off, the short end should be approx. 12mm long, measured from the inner side.
