Ebay Item #140119092137 Someone wrote that it would be an AR300. What do we see? - Dots + V-2's, so that leaves open: AR50 and AR100 - gold original hardware > excludes AR50, what remains is: AR100. Hmm, considering that these are old data $950 could indeed be reasonable. We're talking Artist with gold hardware here and all original, very little damage and OHSC. Let's follow the auction... Seller is asking 900€. It is in worse condition than this AR100, nasty looking scratches on the bottom among others. Or are you considering the legal construction and lease back? So you say $600.- allright. I say + $90.- for the (O?)HSC, which looks basically the same as my 1983 AM case. Very good and expensive cases with excellent neck support. But you have more than 50 keepers. So if you create a legal persona (like an inc. or an ltd. on the Canal Islands who becomes the legal owner of your "stringed instrument museum", let's call it "Hareem ltd." of "Hareem inc.), you can lease back the keepers from the inc. and you are just consuming the property of the inc., like you rent a picture or a statue from a gallery. It's a legal construction to fullfill your promise without loosing the usufruct of the hareem. In Holland companies really do this kind of things to pay less taxes for the posession of their buildings. So are you really going to sell several hunderds of guitars in the next 3 years (among them one or more AR100s?), which could make you a very sad man... (we've seen that before) or are you going to consider the above legal construction in order to keep a few more than 50 and stay a happy man. Because from 500 something down to 50 is quite a step. And IF you are going to sell AR100s, is $600.- all you expect for them? Because the high euro could help you to get even better prices. I think 440 euros is a VERY attractive -not to say cheap- price for European collectors, because they are used to pay as many euros for it as you'd pay dollars.
